After graduating in Business Studies, Petar became a multi-drop driver in London.  During his 29 years in the logistics industry, Petar has worked in parcels, contract and shared-user distribution as well as supply chain and international logistics.  Petar is the former MD of DFDS Logistics, Norbert Dentressangle in the UK and latterly CEO of Target Express and MD of City Link.

Petar joined DX in April 2010 as Chief Executive Officer, and is responsible overall for Customer service delivery.  Petar is also a non-executive Director of Crawford Healthcare and Boohoo.com.

He is married with two sons and is an avid rugby and football man, now only as a supporter.


Ian Pain

Chief Finance Officer

A Price Waterhouse qualified Chartered Accountant, Ian spent five years working in a Corporate Finance advisory role with Charterhouse Bank before joining the private equity arm of Prudential plc for four years, leading and monitoring investments in a wide range of industries. 

In 1999 Ian became Group Finance Director of a multinational specialist label manufacturer and over a seven year period undertook a fundamental review of the organisation’s operations, changing the group’s strategic focus to affect a successful turnaround of the business premised on a radically improved approach to customer service.

Ian is involved in shaping the strategic direction of the DX and is responsible for legal affairs in addition to managing the group’s financial security, procedures and reporting obligations.


Paul Doble

Sales and Marketing Director

Prior to joining the DX in July 2007, Paul was responsible for leading and transforming sales teams within a number of blue chip organisations.

Driven by a focus on world-class sales professionalism, his impressive track record includes head of business development at BT Global Services as well as senior sales management roles within ICL and Fujitsu.

Paul is an Engineering graduate with an MBA from Henley Management College,

Paul has overall responsibility for sales and marketing within DX which covers the relationship management for 25,000 DX customers and the development and marketing of DX’s services.


Barrie Childe

Operations Director, DX Network Services

His 30 years of industry experience include senior operations roles within BOC Distribution, Business Post plc and Federal Express, as well as managing director of Viscount Associates Ltd prior to joining DX.

In his spare time, Barrie plays rugby for his local team and enjoys fly-fishing, shooting and quad biking. Married with three daughters, he lives in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.


Gareth Dore

Operations Director DX Secure

Gareth is responsible for the DX Secure Operation.  He joined DX Secure (formerly SMS) in 1991 as secure delivery agent for two years before moving into the Operations Department. In 1995 he was promoted to Operations Manager controlling a fleet of 200 secure delivery agents from the London site.  With the expansion of the business to a national network, Gareth took on the role of Regional Manager in 2001 prior to being promoted to the position of Operations Director in 2004.

Gareth is responsible for the DX Secure Delivery Network including Branches, Couriers, Trunking, Secure Bureau and the Contact Centre,


Kathy Sharky

Head of HR
Kathy started her career in retail management and moved into HR 17 years ago making a transition from Retail, FMCG and Medical Engineering.  Prior to joining DX, Kathy had headed an EMEA HR team for a global handheld technology provider for 5 years.

It was the experiences of handheld technology within the mail industry that attracted Kathy to DX in June 2005.

As a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Kathy has strong skills across all disciplines of HR, mixed with a wealth of commercialism from working with senior teams.
Kathy is responsible Colleague Strategy, Colleague Relations, Colleague Support, Vetting, Learning and Development, Colleague Reward and Benefits including Payroll, and Recruitment.

Keith Eden

Director of Business Performance

With a background in financial services transaction processing, outsourcing and distribution spanning 20 years, Keith joined DX in April 2005.

An accountant by profession, Keith has held senior financial and operational roles within a number of large, blue chip organisations including GEC, Thomas Cook, First Data Corporation and Certegy Corporation.

Keith has 20 years’ experience mainly in Financial Services transaction processing, outsourcing and latterly the mail distribution industry. He has worked for a number of European subsidiaries of large American Corporations. His background covers the secure distribution of mail, secure embossing, remittance processing, Customer Service Contact Centres, audit & compliance and the implementation of major systems and operational improvement projects.  He is ACMA qualified.

Keith is the Director responsible for Programme & compliance encompassing fraud detection / prevention, security, internal audit and the overseeing of major change programmes.


Mike Sturrock

IT Director

With a background in technology spanning numerous industries and sectors, Mike Joined DX in September 2011.

Mike’s career has spanned the Mobile Telephony, New Media, Television, Airline and IT Services sectors where has held a wide range of positions from consulting and Project Management roles to technical architecture and leadership positions. The most recent being heading the Broadcast Technology division of BSkyB and Head of Technology for  easyJet.

Mike is responsible for the strategy, delivery and maintenance of all the technology and processes that support the operations of DX.
