Connells Group is one of the country’s largest and most successful estate agents, with more than 70 years experience. Operating under three estate agency brands – Connells, Sequence and Sharman Quinney – the company is a market leader in property sales. Connells’ success is driven by exceptional service and customer care.
The Challenge
With over 500 branches and £ billions of property transactions a year, the Connells Group has a vast amount of internal and external correspondence, liaising with solicitors, mortgage lenders and its own branch network. Documents are often high profile with the contents providing essential information to support the conveyancing process and rapid responses are required. Key considerations were:
Reliable and rapid service
Cost effectiveness for large volumes of mail
Simple and easy to use solution
The Solution
As Connells Group sends mail between its branches as well as to its business correspondents, we recommended our DX Document Exchange service to provide overnight pre-9am delivery.
In addition to a fast delivery service, the Document Exchange offers significant savings against Royal Mail 1st class rates and means that the Connells Group does not have to spend time weighing, franking or stamping their mail items
When a house is sold, for example, the solicitor’s instruction is sent via the Document Exchange. Should a client arrange their mortgage through Connells, DX is used to send communication to and from the lender. In fact, Connells liked the Document Exchange so much that they recommended it to a major supplier, VLM, who now use DX to deliver all the hard copy property particulars to the Connells Group.
Connells also uses DX to send day-to-day correspondence between offices.
The Recommendation
“With more than 500 offices, the Document Exchange is by far the most cost-effective way of sending mail between branches, as well as to our panel of solicitors and mortgage lenders …..with the added advantage that we don’t have to worry about Pricing in Proportion. This means we’re saving time as well as money”
Joanne Jackson, Group Purchasing Director
