The Challenge
Fortis wanted to build upon its long-standing reputation for quality and efficiency by ensuring that the delivery of documents between its underwriting team and insurance intermediaries was as successful as possible. Key areas to consider were
- Ensuring that proposals and policy documents are received by their intermediaries the very next day
- Confidential and time critical documents need an efficient and reliable business mail service
- Documents are often heavy due to the large amount of supporting material so a cost-effective solution is essential
The Solution
We worked closely with Fortis to understand the distribution complexities and demands of their busy head office. Because intermediaries required written insurance quotes and proposals the very next day – and much of this documentation was quite heavy – we recommended our DX Mail service, especially suited to business mail customers.
We collect outgoing intermediary mail twice daily from Fortis – with the last collection just after 5pm. We then sort and distribute this mail overnight to ensure that Fortis’ intermediaries receive their documents early the next day.
During one of our periodic review reviews of Fortis's business requirements, we revealed the need for an additional service, DX Courier, to handle the distribution of parcels.
