The Challenge
During the UK football season, Ladbrokes’ football coupon game is among their most popular products. To operate successfully it needs a delivery partner that understands the specific challenges:
- Football coupons are a time-critical product, and 5.5 million coupons must be delivered on time to its locations each week
- The nature of football match fixtures requires deliveries each and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the duration of the 40-week season
- The operational complexity is furthered by the sheer size and geographic spread of Ladbrokes’ UK retail network
The Solution
For the past 10 years we have successfully managed the next day delivery of Ladbrokes’ football coupons to all its UK locations outside of the M25, ensuring that over 5.5 million coupons reach their destination every week of the season.
The coupons arrive at one of our centrally located service centres, hot off the press from the printers where our ‘Pick and Pack’ service ensures that each of the 1,700 betting offices receives the correct items. An overnight dispatch then takes place using the DX Courier service.
Because Ladbrokes’ delivery requirements are so specialised, a bespoke service level agreement was put together, ensuring that the coupons get delivered to betting offices before 10.30am the following day. Ladbrokes can also track the delivery status of any item via our website using a unique barcode number.
