DX Directory Online User Guide
The DX Directory Online enables you to search for DX Members and then copy their
details to a clipboard, for pasting into a document.
It has been designed to be quick and easy to use, however you may find the
following instructions useful:

Searching for DX addresses:
You can choose to search by Member name, DX number, Exchange, Postcode or
Profession or any combination of the above e.g.:Barristers in EC1.
To minimise any potential
spelling, punctuation or spacing issues which may result in an unsuccessful
search, we would recommend you enter part of the search criteria by selecting
the 'begins with' or 'contains' button. For example, to search for Brown,
Merry & Co, enter 'Brown' and select the 'begins with' button. You
can then scroll through all the results to find the one you need.
If there are too many
results, try adding in the first part of the postcode, and this will narrow
down your search.

Selecting a Record
If your search has been successful, the results will be displayed beneath the
search window. If there is more than one record resulting from your search,
these will be displayed down the page. You may need to click on the 'Next'
button in the bottom right hand corner to move through the list of results.
To select your record, move the mouse over the address and click. You will then
be prompted to copy the information to a clipboard. Once you have done this,
you can then paste it directly into your document.

Firefox compatability
If you want to use the 'Copy to Clipboard' functionality within a Firefox
browser you must change the browser's security settings. To achieve this end,
browse to the address 'about:config' and enable the Preference name
'signed.applets.codebase_principal_support'.
