Postcomm issues DX with the first long-term licence permitting tracked business to business mail and a range of other services
2003
30% of the postal market is opened to competition
Extension of DX's mail services to selected postcodes nationwide
2004
DX wins the Queens Award for Innovation
Competitive market review by Postcomm reveals only 1% of the licenced area is actually being contest
2005
Postcomm decides to bring forward full market opening to January 2006
High Street retailing of DX services begins through MailBoxes etc.
2006
On 1 January Postcomm opens the UK postal market to full competition
