Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the key business stakeholders within the finance, sales, marketing, customer services, supplier and IT team to provide architecture and systems input for all IT requirements on the DX group ERP and CRM implementation.
  • Responsible for defining the overall technical solution for the ERP and CRM implementation aligned to the DX EA standards and architecture principles
  • Working with key business stakeholders to design business processes and end to end workflow for straight through processing that comply with the DX group process development standards.
  • Work closely with the key business stakeholders to gather the business requirements and produce these requirements to the documentation standards employed by the DX group.
  • Working closely with the business project manager for each stream to ensure the IT plans are integrated into the overall project plan.
  • In conjunction with Head of Technology Solutions, other work stream leads and the Integration Architect develop the canonical data model for DX group.
  • Identify and document all KPI’s and reporting requirements
  • Developing workflow and integration specifications for the BPMS and Integration offshore development teams.
  • Providing a quality assurance gateway over the work being completed by third party supplies to ensure the work is aligned to the required solution and meets all agreed standards.
  • Working in conjunction with the business stakeholders and Test Manager to ensure User Acceptance Test plans and scripts are produced, and performing the actual tests
  • Working with DX clients to document data transfer and reporting requirements
  • Ensure that all required documentation is developed to enable all systems implemented to be successfully handed over to the Applications and Service support functions
  • Working on other IT projects outside of the core ERP and CRM responsibility as required by DX IT management

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an applications focused business systems analysis role with responsibility for defining the functional and non functional requirements for business critical, high availability enterprise level systems
  • Ability to write clear, unambiguous Business Requirements documents and IT Functional Specification documents
  • Translating functional specifications into solution architecture and design documents
  • Particular emphasis on implementing Operational Logistics, materials management and route management systems ideally in a Postal/Courier, or FMCG environment
  • Experience of implementing non automated manually processes as well as systems enabled processes for mail/parcel sorting and interfacing these manual processes into an overarching straight through process
  • Experience of packaged product selection and vendor management
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills ideally able to communicate and present ideas at all levels of the business. Must be able to influence at all levels within the business across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Business Systems Analyst specific skills:

o  Maintain a good knowledge of analysis and design best practice and work with the major logistics and BPMS systems suppliers to ensure DX systems maintain competitiveness

o  Knowledge of BPMS and EAI software suites and translating business processes into workflow solutions

o  Knowledge of analysis design patterns and how to apply them

o  Knowledge of BPMN, UML and OO software development

o  Good testing skills with experience of writing test plans and test scripts and carrying out acceptance testing of enterprise level IT systems

  • Knowledge of logistics systems, in particular tracking and fleet route management systems, ideally gained in a courier or postal background
  • Knowledge of Mail sorting and Automation systems (desirable)
