DX wins new contract with Waymade Healthcare

18.05.2011

DX – the UK and Ireland’s leading independent logistics network provider – has won a new contract to deliver pharmaceutical products across the UK for Waymade Healthcare plc.

Waymade, which is a top 10 pharmaceutical wholesaler, is using the DX Tracked Courier Service with the pre 12-noon delivery option to make around 1,400 deliveries to high street pharmacists, doctors’ surgeries, hospitals and dentists each day.

The service offers guaranteed delivery by 12 noon so that pharmacists can meet their customer supply deadlines and start preparing for the next day’s requirements. However, DX aims, when possible, to meet the individual needs of pharmacists who require earlier deliveries.

DX supplies the same drivers for all the routes each day, where possible, helping to create a friendly, personal service for the pharmacists. This enables Waymade to replicate the high level of personal service offered by its own delivery drivers who work in London and makes DX feel like a seamless extension to its team.

Paul Doble, Group Sales and Marketing Director, DX, said: “We are delighted to announce this new contract with Waymade Healthcare. Our extensive experience in the retail and healthcare sectors, combined with our wide range of courier services, has enabled us to create the perfect package for them.”

Brian Wyatt, Director of Operations, Waymade Healthcare plc, said: “Reliability is critical for our deliveries. However, we also wanted a flexible and personal courier service that would feel like an extension to our business. DX has met all these needs and we are very pleased to be working with them.”
